Be a Lilac Dream this Summer..

It is an ideal colour for summer..lilac! It's light and fresh and compliments almost all skin types. I love wearing lilac in summer because I think it lightens any outfit.

This summer there are many beautiful lilac options to wear and so I thought I would share my favourites...

Make knitwear a summer staple with either of these knits from LK Bennett. The LK Bennett Malia Knitted Crop Top is a beautiful option for those cooler summer days.

Another option is the LK Bennett Bonnie Crew Neck Cardigan. It can be worn un-done or done up and is very versatile.

In a more traditional summer outfit, then you may prefer to opt for dresses. Ted Baker's new print "Tile Floral Geo" has hues of purple and navy in the dress. The Amily Midi Dress is a lovely option, although it's length makes it more suitable for taller people!

Another dress, which I grant you on the website is 'powder blue' but having seen it in person can say that it is actually more of a lilac hue, is a beautiful option. It is the Denai Jacquard Dress. It is slightly shorter which makes it more suitable for those with less-long legs!

The Jaeger Box-Pleat Pintuck Dress is another lovely dress option. Again a slightly longer dress but the fitted waist and pleats makes the dress very flattering because it emphasises an hour-glass figure.

Another lovely summer option is the Hobbs Ava Cowl Top. It has a beautiful necklace and would be lovely for a sunny summers day.

Reiss has a couple of pieces in lilac. The first is a very pale lilac in the form of the Molly Chain Detail Top. It is a lovely causal day-to-day option with a twist.

They also have the Rosely High Neck Dress, which is in a darker shade of lilac. I love this dress and think it is a modest and really traditional dress, perfect for summer weddings and christenings.

Which is your favourite lilac piece, and is it a colour you'll be debuting this summer??
