The Brits Lead the Glamorous at the Critics' Choice Awards...

Last night at the Critic's Choice Awards the British led the line up of glamorous gowns. I have such a soft spot for gowns and so the awards season for me is my favourite time of the year!

Emily Blunt looked incredible in a red Emilio Pucci gown. I love all of the embellishment and if that wasn't enough she added diamond bangles to add even more sparkle to the ensemble.

Rosamund Pike, who gave birth just 5 weeks ago, wowed in a Valentino gown that had a touch of a bridal look to it.

Felicity Jones was a complete comparison in a more gothic style gown by Dolce and Gabbana, but still looked incredible.

Kiera Knightly, who is currently pregnant, wore a floaty gown by Delpozo which brushed over her baby bump in masses of pale grey chiffon.

Although the Brits were well represented in some fabulous outfits, there were also some looks that I loved.

Angelina Jolie was arguably the best dressed there in a metallic Versace gown that draped in gorgeous shimmering waves. I love Angelina Jolie's style and this was not a disappointment.

Leslie Mann and Amy Adams opted for midi dresses in metallic hues, which looked equally amazing and made a nice change from all the gowns.

Jennifer Aniston opted for a fitted trouser suit, and no top!, which looked really good on her. It's nice to see people trying something different on the red carpet.

72nd Annual Golden Globes

One of the best things about the new year is that it means that it is the beginning of the awards season and for us the beginning of the gowns season!

The first event of the year was the 72nd Golden Globes which were held at the Beverley Hills Hotel.

There were some fabulous outfits and also some not-so-fabulous outfits. I am join to start with my personal favourite - Amal Clooney. She has been making fashion headlines since she married George Clooney last September.

Amal looked amazing in Vintage Dior and Harry Winston diamonds. I loved the vintage hollywood look.

A few other of my favourites were Kate Hudson, who wowed in this daring cut out gown.

Emily Blunt also chose a similar hew with revealing panels and looked absolutely amazing. I also love the statement earrings which added some colour to the neutral outfit.

Amy Adams went for a more demure look in dove-grey but still managed to make it a show-stopping outfit.

Although some people may disagree with me, I loved Jennifer Aniston's dress. The Saint Laurent gown was classic and looked amazing on her figure.

I don't like to spend much time on fashion don'ts but I have to admit however much I love Lana Del Rey, I did not think her dress was very flattering. She has an amazing figure but this green dress did not do her justice!
